Introduction to Open Licensing and Open Educational Resources
Venue: Training Room C & D – Maynooth University Library
This in-person workshop is offered as part of the DOERs project, which is a collaboration between TUS (Lead), SETU, DkIT, and Maynooth University and funded through the HEA under the Strategic Alignment of Teaching and Learning Enhancement Funding in Higher Education 2022/23. The project aims to raise awareness of OER and empower staff to use and develop OER in their teaching practice.
This in-person workshop will provide a brief overview of:
- Open Educational Resources (OER) – sourcing, using and adapting relevant OER
- OER work in MU to date & results from MU survey
- The role of Open Licensing, including Creative Commons licensing, in OER creation
- Copyright considerations in Ireland
