Tours are available of the Russell Library on an appointment basis.

Places on scheduled tours are subject to availability and staffing. Tours are offered free of charge and take approximately 20 minutes.

Directions: The Russell Library is on the south campus (click for map) of St. Patrick's College, in St Mary’s quadrangle. Entering the building by the President’s Arch at the back of St Joseph’s Square, turn left and follow the cloister. Ring the Russell Library door bell to gain admittance at your appointed time. 

Please note: 

  • Access to the reading room is via four short flights of stairs. Wheelchair access is currently unavailable.
  • Filming and flash photography is prohibited.
  • Books and collections items must not be handled by tour attendees.
  • Bags, coats, pens and liquids are not permitted upstairs.
