Terms and Conditions

  • Registered Maynooth University and SPCM students may reserve a Group Study room using their Maynooth University/SPCM email address.
  • University and SPCM staff are not permitted to book rooms for tutorials or classes or private tuition. 
  • Reservations are for use by groups only and cannot be reserved for individual study.
  • Each reservation will be for a maximum of two hours per day.  No renewals will be permitted.
  • Rooms cannot be booked on a long term, e.g. weekly/monthly recurring basis.
  • As the rooms are in high demand, if a group is more than 15 minutes late for their reservation time, their reservation will be forfeit and the room will be made available to other users.
  • Although the Group Study room is designed to be a space for collaborative work, please ensure to keep the noise down so as not disturb other users.
  • Please ensure that all personal belongings are removed and that the room is tidy when leaving.  Do not attach anything to the walls or windows.    
  • Any user in a Group Study Room without a reservation must leave when requested by a group who has a reservation.
  • Rooms cannot be reserved or held by placing personal belongings in them – any unattended items will be removed.
  • Drinks in screw-top bottles/resuable cups only are allowed, food is NOT permitted
  • If you encounter any problems or faults with the equipment or software, please report this to the Information Desk.
  • Use of these rooms is subject to the Library’s code of conduct, available on the library homepage.
  • The Library reserves the right to amend or alter these terms without notice or prejudice.
